Drawing the line to end domestic and sexual violence.
One in three girls in the United States report physical, emotional or verbal abuse from a partner. Southwest PA Says NO MORE works with a variety of organizations to address the alarming rate of abuse.
In partnership with FISA Foundation and the Heinz Endowments, United Way is investing in preventing and ending domestic and sexual violence. The goal is to prevent domestic violence and sexual assault by making it easier for individuals and organizations to take action to stop gender-based violence.
This education-based campaign is uniting our community to say enough is enough. Southwest PA Says NO MORE works to create lasting change across:
- Schools and colleges, by promoting conversations about domestic violence and sexual assault prevention to young people
- Individuals by activating men to be part of the solution
- Sports and athletics by educating and recruiting coaches to influence young athletes to engage in respectful relationships through Coaching Boys Into Men, a proven, nationally replicated curriculum
- Employers & the workplace, by driving workplace policies that make it clear that abusive behaviors will not be tolerated
You can help by spreading the word or providing funding for these educational programs to help end partner violence.
