Rachel Antinone finds strength in numbers
Among the many wonderful United Way champions at Eaton Corporation, Rachel Antinone has stepped forward to be an Executive Committee Member with the Women’s Leadership Council (WLC). Rachel is a Director of Finance and provides financial leadership across Eaton’s Commercial and Residential Distribution Solution’s Residential and Wiring Device Products Division, including the division’s global locations. Rachel is an incredibly results-oriented leader, helping to make the business more profitable and sustainable every day. She carries that same drive and determination forward in her volunteerism looking to help achieve great outcomes for people in her community.
Early on in her career, Rachel came across a quote that resonated with her, “a strong woman stands up for herself and a stronger women stands up for everybody else.” Today she strives to exemplify that through United Way and her role with the WLC.
Rachel credits her mother for inspiring her to stand up for others. “She was confident and strong. I watched her work hard, and with a lot of courage at times to do the right thing, or to step in and make sure she was helping others in need” says Rachel. “Like my mother, I’m looking for ways to help others and do the right thing, particularly women who are facing hardships and challenges that are difficult for many of us to relate to.”
As with her work, Rachel looks for strength in numbers, “with the WLC, you get to partner with thousands of other caring women, in support of thousands of more women facing hardship. There’s nothing like it. I’m so proud to be able to serve on the Executive Committee and be a part of this special women’s movement in Western Pennsylvania.”
