Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Director of Human Resources manages all human resources (HR) functions and guides organizational culture in order to support the practices of a high-performing organization. Key responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, professional development, compensation and benefits, payroll, and legal/policy compliance. The HR Director will establish partnerships with organization leaders to create and maintain a respectful, diverse, and energetic workplace culture. They serve as a key advisor to managers on employee relations matters including legal and policy compliance. A bachelor’s degree and more than 5 years of experience in a variety of human resources disciplines with a solid understanding of legal and regulatory requirements is required. 211 Contact Center Manager

United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania is seeking a Contact Center Manager for PA 211 Southwest, Southeast, and Northwest regions.211 is a nationally recognized, easy to remember phone number. It provides an efficient connection between people seeking assistance with available local health and human service resources. The 211 Contact Center Manager will be responsible for the 24/7 overall experience of 211 including calls, texts, and chats. The manager will be responsible for the client interaction, referrals provided, and follow-up process. They will be responsible for contacts 24x7x365 for more than 95% of all contacts for the aforementioned regions. They will be responsible for the daily supervision of the resource navigators at the contact center. The manager will maintain strong professional relationships with health and human service agencies and proactively advocate for clients with critical needs. The manager will participate in attaining and maintaining accreditation from Inform USA.

Eight (8) or more years of experience in a contact center environment with increasing levels of responsibility is required. An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of education.

Training Specialist

Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Specialist will operate at the PA 211 Southwest call center to assist in the creation and presentation of training materials to new hires in person. This specialist will monitor and share coaching observations with supervisors to shape further necessary training.

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required with one (1) year of related quality and training experience is required. An associates or bachelor’s degree in a related field or two (2) to three (3) years of quality and training experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of education.

Communications and Social Media Coordinator

The Communications and Social Media Coordinator is responsible for supporting United Way’s marketing objectives with target audiences; working with the United Way team to implement social media and communications strategy to increase awareness of and engagement with United Way’s work in our community; writing for our brochures, website and event materials; and creating email marketing efforts to maximum reach and efficiency. This role is responsible for writing various internal and external communications to increase brand awareness and elevate United Way’s mission to donors, partner agencies and stakeholders.

A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field is required. A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years experience in a nonprofit setting is preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of education.

211 Administrative Assistant (Part Time)

The Administrative Assistant provides support to the Senior Director of PA 211 SW and 211 staff. In addition to general administrative support, filing, and scheduling, the Administrative Assistant coordinates meetings, performs database record entry and management, orders and maintains supplies, attends community events, and works on special projects.

Position includes working with confidential and sensitive information and interacting with diverse external partners, volunteers, and visitors. Independent judgement is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload, and to recommend insightful changes to office practices or procedures.

A high school diploma or GED equivalent and one (1) year of administrative assistant, customer service, social work, health/human services or call center related experience is required.
